Datura, also known as Jimson weed or Sacred Datura (Datura wrightii), is a plant native to Los Angeles. The flower open when the weather is cool, or in the evening, sometimes with the moon.

This illustration was designed and drawn on paper before transferring to linoleum block. It was carved and then printed with fabric-safe inks on the linen, and water-based inks on paper.
