Summary
Hi! I'm always looking for Background Paint or Color Design positions that have a team environment that utilizes creativity and style for animated shows. Doing all of this while learning and developing new methods of storytelling through color and texture.
For several years I've been Background Painting and Color Designing on projects such as Final Space, New Looney Tunes/Wabbit, and DC Superhero Girls.
These were projects where I got to showcase atmospheric locations, landscapes, and interiors of every day buildings with either BG Paint or model color palettes.
On my most recent project, HOOPS, I was excited to create a painterly and textured technique, as well as using dramatic lighting and color. I collaborated closely with my art director and our 2 other BG Painters to create color script-like moods for each location, while also keeping a unified look from scene to scene.
I know advanced techniqes in Photoshop and Illustrator, and after working on a diverse selection of projects, I am easily able to grab the style that's needed for the show.
I work well with others, enjoy getting feedback, and am very organized and timely with my work.
